Huawei has launched a new smartphone, the Huawei GR5 2017, in the domestic market, which features dual-camera and new generation of fingerprint technology.

Like its predecessor Huawei GR5, the new handset offers premium design and cutting-edge technology to rival even the most expensive handsets, read the company’s statement.

The phone, available for Rs29,999, inclusive of taxes, comes with 12MP and 2MP rear cameras which work together to autofocus in 0.3 seconds.

“The two rear cameras are good for taking portraits with Bokeh effects and wide-angle shots that aren’t so easy with a single lens. This feature makes it possible for everyone to take part in professional photography,” reads the statement.

The phone, which is 4G compatible, also features 8MP front camera that allows users to capture 1080p selfie videos. The front camera can also capture wide angle shots of up to 78 degrees. This makes it easier for smartphone users to take selfies as well as panoramic selfies to “capture action-packed images while keeping users and their friends front-and-centre”.

The phone, according to the statement, also helps everyone stand out and look their best, as it comes with features like 10-level “Beauty Mode” and “Auto Make-up Mode” that allow users to make “beauty adjustments” in real time.

Another highlight of the phone is the new generation of fingerprint technology, which, according to the company, sports Fingerprint 3.0 with 360-degree readability function. This feature allows users to unlock the screen in just 0.3 seconds, with wet or dry fingers.

The Huawei GR5 2017 is powered by Hisilicon Kirin 655 Octa-core processor and comes with 3,340mAh battery. The phone also comes with new i5 coprocessor that provides hardware support to reduce battery consumption and increases overall speed and efficiency, says the statement, adding, “The handset can run without charging for 1.5 days.”

The handset features 5.5-inch high-definition screen with full-metallic body frame.
